Lomonosow
By order of Tsarina Elizabeth, daughter of Peter the Great, the first Russian porcelain manufactory was founded in St Petersburg in 1744 under the name Neva Porcelain Manufactory. Until 1917, the manufactory was owned by the House of Romanov. After the October Revolution, it was nationalised and renamed the Leningrad Lomonosov Porcelain Manufactory in 1925. Since 2005, it has borne the name Imperial Porcelain Manufactory St. Petersburg (IPM).
