Old Luxembourg
A Rococo decor stands the test of time
The Alt Luxembourg dinnerware series, now sold under the name Vieux Luxembourg, has been associated with the Villeroy & Boch name for nearly 250 years. The filigree décor, first painted on porcelain in Septfontaines in 1770, has lost none of its charm to this day. Until some time ago, the tableware was produced as Vitro Porcelain, but today it is produced in Premium Porcelain quality, which has slightly changed its appearance. The body is no longer cream-colored, but white and the dishes have a higher gloss.
Collection-related Note:
The Old Luxembourg Collection was produced in two different types of porcelain by Villeroy & Boch. The respective type of porcelain is indicated on the article pages. For more information click here: Differentiation between Premium Porcelain and Vitro Porcelain
