The Scala dinnerware shape was designed in 1979 by German designer Prof. Wolf Karnagel, who made a name for himself with tableware for Hutschenreuther, Rosenthal and Kahla, among others. His on-board tableware and cutlery for Lufthansa from the 1990s is also unforgettable.
