Wedgwood
Wedgwood porcelain has been one of the most renowned porcelain brands in the world since 1759.
The founder Josiah Wedgwood succeeded in further developing the previously common creamware so that it had a bluish-white color. In this way, he eventually became the Queen's purveyor to the court and Wedgwood porcelain became a status symbol of the time.
Wedgwood was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2009 after several takeovers and has belonged to the Finnish Fiskars group of companies since 2015.
