Wedgwood porcelain has been one of the most renowned porcelain brands in the world since 1759.
The founder Josiah Wedgwood succeeded in further developing the previously common creamware that it had a bluish-white color. Thus he finally brought it to the court supplier of the Queen and Wedgwood porcelain became the status symbol of the time.
Wedgwood had to file for bankruptcy after several takeovers in 2009 and belongs since 2015 to the Finnish group of companies Fiskars.
